our saturday...

Yesterday Evangeline went to her art class at Central TAFE..They have a great courtyard surrounded by classrooms...With this fabulous angel chair sculpture...In the afternoon we drove to the Gidgegannup Show...With Imogen and Jen and Zachary...and Grandma...The girls had a ride in the little train...We looked at the animals...Morganne loved it..and giggled in delight as she patted all the animals...We had an ice cream...then one more ride on the way out...This was E's first go on a big kids ride...she loved it...It is a nice little country show...Lissy

our animals...

Part of our menagerie...

Bella this morning...under her favourite tree...which was a sapling when I was a teenager and riding over top of it with the polo horses! She did listen as I approached and then finally got up to come over and say hello...

The cats yesterday morning...I had to take this through the very dirty window because I knew if I opened the door they would move!
This morning Bella and Missy (one of our dogs) were having races...they would start at one gate and race to the end near the next gate...then go back, wait for each other and then take off again...E and I were watching from the bedroom window...they did it about 5 times...very funny! Lissy

first swimming lesson...

Yesterday I took Morganne to her first swimming lesson with our little friend Imogen...we did go to a couple of baby swim classes but she kept getting sick so I stopped...now it is time to get started again...lots of not so great photos to follow...

She was very excited to go and wanted to make sure I got a picture of her backpack! She was not at all sure about it and at first wouldn't even get in...and glared at the teacher (Lynne who also taught Evangeline)and then she did after a lot of encouragement...then changed her mind...then joined in again...And rather enjoyed herself...and then it was all too much...and she was out again and not going back in...Fortunately it was the end of the lesson! And she did give Lynne a HI-5 before she left...

But not too bad for a first go..and she told me twice yesterday afternoon what a good job she did at swimming and that she liked it! So we shall see how she goes next week! Lissy

generosity and scrapping at the retreat...

I always enjoy the Wave Rock Retreat...I get to teach and also get some scraping done while enjoying the company of some great women...always well organised with a great shop...and superb food...

I was collecting UNDIES again for my Children of the Forest UNDIE DRIVE...and these generous ladies donated 150 pairs of undies!

And Karen donated the proceeds of one raffle to pay for postage...thanks so much...so the undies are already on their way to Thailand...

And ON TOP OF THAT...these ladies raised more than $1000 for Breast Cancer...AMAZING!

But I will not thank the police man who pulled Sharon over....because then a few minutes later he booked me! Yes I was speeding but it is in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE....aaaaaaaargh....or should I say it is not nowhere but you can see nowhere from it!!!

Aside from that it was a great weekend! Here are the layouts I did over the 3 days... from Gayle's classes...and from Karen's class...And the other ones I did...my aim is to power scrap...get lots done...and use all my pretty pattern papers! Not 100% happy with them all but into the album they go...Lissy
