We have had a busy week again...Monday I took Evangeline to a ENT specialist...she has had 5 ear infections this year (and last year too) and spend half the year deaf because of them. This has affected her speech a bit as she cannot hear sounds well and so we have been going to speech therapy...and she has always snored terribly, is a bad sleeper and has mild sleep apnoea...so she is going to get grommets and have her adenoids out at the same time. This should help a lot. We were going to have it done in November but as I will have to stay in hospital with her and as M is not weaned it would be too hard...plus it would pretty much put an end to swimming over the summer as she is not to get water in her ears...that will be hard enough in the bath!...so we will wait until February or March next year when the swimming season is nearly over...
Yesterday I took some promotional photos for a friend for her business Go Baby Hire...a great baby hire service...and I ran around looking for stuff for Evangeline's birthday party.
Today we went to the allergy clinic...Advanced Allergy Elimination...Morganne now has no eczema after her skin being red raw behind her knees...so Evangeline and I are going too...it sounds a very bizarre thing when you read about it or someone tells you but it strangely seems to work! A friend put me onto it after she managed to stop her chronic hay fever...I have a few friend who have now taken their kids and had great results...anyway after that we had swimming lessons which both girls love...
Then we had one of E's school friends to play (she is no longer at our school and E misses her!)
Morganne tried to feed her baby sister...lol...M is one month older but 2.5kg heavier! I have been letting M try and learn to eat with a spoon or fork...she definitely know that you go from the bowl to the mouth...but needs a little practice yet!
Then E had dance...phew...and tomorrow and Friday are busy too...and next week is looking pretty hectic too...but Ben is home in about 5 days - YAY! I hope your week is going well - Lissy

699 km, a retreat and a near perfect baby...
So Morganne had her first road trip and retreat! She was amazing! She was very happy in the car all the way to Hyden except for 15 minutes of crying before she slept...she only slept for half an hour but was happy eating and playing the rest of the time!
She was fabulous at the retreat! Maybe it was the change of environment? Anyway she slept really well in the sleep pod at night...sorry bad photo as I only took one in case I woke her!and played happily in the playpen
or high chair...ate her sandwiches and cheese! And then had long sleeps in her pram!
She was pretty good all the way home except for screaming for the last 45 minutes...then she was all smiles when we got home and she was playing with Evangeline! She was not happy to have to go back to sleeping in her cot! And she has been a bit grizzly again but really I cannot complain at all as she was so fabulous all weekend...well except twice...once when I changed her nappy and once when my sister dared to try and feed her with a spoon...lol...she was not amused!
The retreat was great...I always enjoy going...a great bunch of girls who are fun to teach and I even got some pages and things done myself! Here are the pages...
I managed to do one of Sharon's classes (a mini album)..I will add the photos and then share that one.. and started one of Gayle's but got side tracked with some very cute patterned paper and went off on a tangent!
My sister Annica won the raffle with a ticket I bought for her! Well she paid for it but I chose the tickets! So a great weekend hosted by Karen. I stocked up on a few goodies in the shop as Karen has a great range. I shall share my class layouts soon too. The next retreat is in March. I am tired but had a great weekend! I found E looking very comfy (not!) in my bed last night!Have a great week - Lissy

i should be packing...
Yes, I should be packing for the retreat...but I am too tired! So I shall try and do some tomorrow before school...
We have been very busy...swimming and such today and Ben's parents came over for lunch...E loves spending time with her Papa...and Morganne enjoyed the attention too! We saw them at my sister in laws on Sunday as well as they are in Perth for a few weeks. Morganne was very serious while we were taking photos but actually she was happy and smiley
Tara left a comment suggesting "baby led weaning" and I checked it out and figured since basically this is what M has decided already we are giving it ago...you basically just give them normal food, no mush...she is still not eating much but she is giving most things a go and having a few mouthfuls...better than trying to force a spoon in her mouth which is impossible! So we shall see how we progress!I am going to try her with food and a spoon too next week and see what happens...a mess I am sure but she will probably soon get the hang of it!
I have printed off lots of photos...things I want to scrap...though I must have enough for 30 or so pages....lol...BUT also having recently have my external hard drive try to die on me and since Rachie had her laptop with all her photos on it stolen...it has reminded me to make sure I have access to my photos in other ways...we used to always have our photos as we developed film but now with digital we don't tend to print many...but we must make sure we back them up...regularly!
My friend Jen and little Imogen came for a visit the other day too...Imi is 18 months old and very tall!
The girls all played well together...and so that is it from me...Ben is still out to sea for another couple of weeks...then we will be in full party planning mode as Evangeline will be 5 soon and we have decided on a Pirate Party! Lissy

ten months old...
Today our sweet little girl is ten months old! Morganne has such a happy sunny but determined personality...but she has been sick again...another cold and off her food...and pretty clingy...the only thing she really wants to eat is grated cheese and sometimes I can feed her yoghurt...she hates to be fed and wants to do stuff herself...so she might chew on a piece of toast...She was rather gleeful when I gave up on the yoghurt the other day and gave it to her!
It is very frustrating...there is not much you can give a ten month old with 6 teeth to eat! She clamps her mouth shut like a vice and there is no way of getting any food on a spoon in unless you catch her unawares. I am trying to cut down on her milk feeds to see if she will start eating again...and stop waking so much at night! I need to send her off to baby school I think! But she is pretty good at drinking from a sipper cup now. She loves to play ball and put things in and out of her toys...and loves the music they make...so it is rather noisy around here. Evangeline was the same...I was hoping this baby would be different! I am determined to crack the sleeping thing as she is still waking 2-3 times a night and I do not want her to be a bad sleeper like E. She is crawling everywhere...and kneeling up yet but no signs much of standing as yet! This is her grizzle face....when she is whinging about something... Morganne also knows how to squawk if she wants something that Evangeline has! Here is a pic E took the other day...The girls play well together tooAnd here is my big girl...who in a few weeks will be five so after the retreat I shall be busy planning and organising for the party! Our school holidays are nearly over. E spent a couple of days with mum which was great as I was sick too. We have had more play dates, friends visiting and such since I lasted posted...and here is some pics from the Perth Royal Show. We are off to my sister in law's today for lunch to see Ben's parents...It is Spring in the Valley this weekend so it is very busy out here and there are buses and cars everywhere on our road visiting the wineries. My roses are looking fabulous now that spring is in full swing with some warmer weather due this week. And look at this azalea! And that is it for now. Ben is near Broome somewhere having been up to Darwin and now heading back to Dampier. There is not much phone reception so we don't hear from him much. We did talk today and he said I hadn't updated my blog! So I thought I should get onto it! I have sprained my ankle again but not too badly...so glad it wasn't next week when I am off to the Retreat! I haven't been doing anything creative as days have been busy with other things...and I had to write my notes for all the layouts for the Retreat! I have printed out lots of photos to take with me and must now get packing!I hope you are having a great weekend - Lissy
