it's been six months...

since Dad died...I still think of him everyday...sad and happy thoughts...I have been going through some old photos today...I want to do a layout as I have been remembering how E sat on his knee nearly every evening for the first eleven months of her life......we were living here with mum and dad while renovating our house...and now we are back living here...I wished Morganne could have the same experience...Dad loved spending time with E and I am so glad I took lots of photos even though he hated it....I have found so many fabulous photos of them together when she was younger...
I will treasure these photos and I know E will too - Lissy

eleven weeks...

Yes....Morganne is eleven weeks old....and look at the change in ten weeks....here is Morganne at one week...and at eleven weeks...Ben went back to work last Friday...so it is just us girls...we had a busy weekend though with Alec's birthday party and also my sister and family visiting...

I have done a couple of layouts today...I will upload them later. I was going to clean more this afternoon but decided to play with Morganne and scrap when she was asleep! Hope your week is going well...Lissy

another week....

Another week has passed...

Morganne is now 10 weeks old...she is being grumpy about going to sleep at night but is having a 5 - 6 hour stretch which is blissful after 3 hours stints! She seems to be fond of sucking her hand...I am hoping she is not going to start sucking her thumb...she is not interested in a dummy so I guess that is out as a substitute...she will let you know if she is being ignored and wants attention but is mostly pretty happy and smiley though she looks so serious especially when I am taking photos!
Evangeline didn't go to school today as Ben was off to the airport to go back to work and she wanted to go too...She is missing Ben more now she is older and understands he is going and is gone for weeksWe finally have new shelves for the play room and some for E's bedroom (after a trip to Ikea with Alli on Tuesday) so E and I started sorting out the books (we have a LOT of books)today...which have until now been mostly piled in boxes in the corner...

I did a layout the other day but have yet to photograph it...so might try and do some more tomorrow if we get the playroom sorted...

I went out with my good friend Jen yesterday for her birthday to Menu in Guildford and had the most delicious salad...mozarella, fig and proscuitto...yummo! I will definitely be going back while figs are still in season! So if you are heading out this way check it out...yummy food and it is well priced too...

Cannot think what else has happened this week...and now it is the weekend! Lissy

rest of the week....

The rest of the week has been pretty busy...after the electrician being here for a couple of days and having to move furniture and stuff around so he could work we then had a lot of cleaning up to do....but I still managed to take a few photos....

Ben's dad came to stay Saturday night as he has been in Perth for a few days...E was sad he only had one sleepover!

...and then we had my sister in law and family and Ben's grandma and my mum for a BBQ lunch today....it was nice out by the pool as it has been cooler and we installed fans out there...the kids spent most of the time swimming...and plenty of playing...Here are a few more photos from the last few days....I am making sure there are planty of pics of our second child!!
I have been printing photos out ready to scrap should I manage to find some time...and of course I need to finish the mini albums...I have decided that all my scrapbooking is going to be pretty simple at the moment as I would sooner have the stories recorded and try and vaguely keep up with goings on around here especially with Morganne changing so quickly...which is important....rather than agonising over trying to something fabulously creative...lol...which is not at all improtant! So I think I will mostly be slapping down a few bits of paper and photos and getting the journalling done...


I am not good at photographing babies so all the photos are pretty average but at least we have some! And Morganne always has the funniest expressions!

And I haven't forgotten Evangeline...I do not think I have already posted these pics...I am too lazy to go back and check... A huge branch fell off one of our trees the other day...

Oh and Alli or someone can you please tell my why the spell check on this stupid blogger thing is no longer working???

So all in all a busy but good weekend...still a fair bit of cleaning and sorting to do here so will fit that in this week some time! Anyway I hope you have had a great weekend - Lissy

9 weeks old....and some layouts...

or by the calendar TWO MONTHS OLD....and the lack of sleep is worth it! She is just gorgeous and a very good baby...she looks so serious sometimes but really she is a very happy little baby...weighing about 6 kilos or so and we are starting to get some 5 and 6 hour stretches at night...and she is nice and chubby I have been taking my everyday photos but I have been to busy to upload them...and the little mini albums are progressing too! Just need to put the last photos in and then add some journalling and embellishments...
I did manage to do a couple of layouts last weekend...two on Saturday and two on Sunday!

And that is it for now...we are busy renovating the kitchen and getting light fittings replaced...so lots of mess and half done jobs...but one day it will be done...and the air con is now fixed...YAY! Lissy

8 weeks old...and everyday 22...

Can you believe 8 weeks has gone already! Yes Morganne is 8 weeks old! Maybe because this is our last baby it is going even faster! She is a very good baby really...doesnt grizzle much!
E had her first day back at school today and gave her teacher a big hug and said how much she missed her! And it seems she had a good day even though her best buddy from last year Jake is at a new school. And Ben and Morganne have been happily smiling at each other...lol...
Morganne and I went out for coffee with mum and I actually bought some clothes from a very nice boutique who were having a fabulous sale...well I hope you are having a good week...I am hoping to work on my mini albums tomorrow - Lissy

everyday 21...

Today we went off and bought some sandals for school as E starts tomorrow...she dropped a drawer on her toe a couple of nights ago and the nail is black...I am expecting it will drop off so decided some sandals were needed.

E was at school last year in the three year old programme...so she has the same teacher this year as a four year old...Montessori is slightly different to conventional schooling as the children stay with their teacher for three years...E is very excited and it took some getting her to sleep tonight...I haven't tried her uniform so hope it still fits as she has just grown and everything seems too small! She goes full days now instead of half days so I am going to be learning all about packed lunches for school...and hoping she eats them!

Evangeline made puppets today having seen them on Playschool this afternoon. Morganne is enjoying her play gym...she is looking like she is hypnotised...lolAnd look a pretty good pic of Morganne and I...I am wondering if Morganne will have curly hair and what colour eyes...maybe she will have Ben;s brown eyes...Ben and I were blonde as kids but E has always been dark and she has some curl left but nothing like my mop!My blogger spell check hasn't been working for days...anyone else having this problem...???

Anyway off to get thing ready for the morning....getting all of out of the house by 8.30 am will be a challenge! I hope the school year has started well for those that started this week - Lissy

everyday 19 and 20...

I have been mananging to take the photos but finding any time to get on the computer at the moment is hard...

Yesterday...we had mum visiting but we didn't do much due to the heat...Ben has spent most of the weekend on the roof repairing the pool solar heating...crazy! But I might be able to swim again soon!

Ben decided Morganne was too noisy at night...lol...so decided he would sleep in a swag in E's room...but she snores...and then joined him in the middle of the night and took up too much room...lol...

so last night he slept in the living room...lol

Here is Morganne is having tummy time!And today bathtime is going in our everyday albums...

And so that is it so far this week...our last day of the holidays tomorrow so we have to go and get school shoes...Lissy

everyday 18...

Here is E watching TV this morning...still half asleep!And Morganne having her morning nap!E and Morganne played doctors...and then we went off to Imogen's first birthday party...E had fun and Morganne slept!Not much else happened for the day as it was pretty hot! Lissy

everyday 16 and 17...

We had a break in blogging due to the dreaded mastisis...fun!

I am back on board now so...post 16....the girls playing together...Evangeline loves entertaining Morganne and here she has made Morganne a little present!And post 17...Evangeline giving the dog, Missy, a shower...sounds mean but it is very hot and our dog likes water...she runs through spirnklers and has a bath tub in her yard that she swims in!
And another picture of Morganne and I...she has put on 300g this week...we had a visit to the child health nurse and she is 5.9kg and 37cm now! She has grown out of her 000 clothes so I need to get her a few things in 00...as all the 0 sizes I have a a bit too big as yet...and for some reason I do not have any 00 much left from Evangeline!
I need some more of Evangeline and I too...so they know I do exist! And now it is the weekend! Hot, humid and stormy here! Hope you have nice things planned - Lissy
