crop night traumas...

I had a very traumatic crop night on Friday night....lol...and because Sharon was siting next to me I think she did too! I really struggled with every layout...they all finally worked out fine even with the photos with horrid colours...but it was like pulling teeth...Sharon's I think! I kept threatening to pack up and go home...lol..but she coaxed me on! Thanks for putting up with me Sharon!
And I want to end this post with the heaviness I feel for Japan...the devastation and loss is phenomenal. We have two families at school who are Japanese and have family in Japan. One girl is in Evangeline's class. I have not seen them to know how much they have been affected....Lissy

And finally you say....

Here are the sneak peeks for my classes at the 12th Scrappin' Outback
Wave Rock Scrapbooking Retreat
25 - 27th March 2011

In both classes I am using multiple photos and focusing on creating your own embellishments.

The first class is Giddy Up...and I have done a general more neutral version and a soft feminine version...
I have used recent photos but both layouts would work very well with heritage photos...

You will need:   landscape photos...two 4x6 and four 2x3 for this layout....you could modify it and use four 4x6 landscape or portrait photos but you will have to rearrange your page a bit...

The second class Festive Moments...has two versions...one is using Christmas papers...and the other will have more neutral papers that will suit boys or girls...I am just waiting on another sheet of patterned paper to complete that one for you...

You will need:    one 4x6 portrait photo, two 4x3 portrait photos, three 3x3 photos and four 2x3 landscape photos for this layout...

For the second version I have used slightly different photos...you will need:   one 4x6 portrait, four 4x3 portrait  and then four small photos all 3" high but varying widths to make up to 9" wide...

I will post some sketches soon to help...

Contact Karen on 9880 5300 or 9880 5761 or 0427 977 672 or scrappinoutback@bigpond.com for details!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon....Lissy

a few busy days...

We have had a few busy days around here...Evangeline has been skating again and tried blades and liked them. She has learnt to skate backwards, turn and JUMP! eeeeeeeeeeeek!

Ben has been busy building a car trailer...I have been scrap booking...
And I have been riding Chief...

I am trialling him on the owners property but he is so nice I think I will buy him and bring him home soon! I have started learning Parelli Natural Horsemanship and trying it out on Chief...You start with 7 "games" that you play with the horses to teach them to move where you want them and to establish your dominance in the partnership...not in a mean way as it is supposed to be a partnership...but it is actually about safety...if a horse perceives you as more dominant in the herd then they will move out of your way and so on....
Evangeline rather liked Chief too ...

Mum has been over on the weekend and we went out for dinner...

Evangeline wanted to learn cross stitch so Mum has started teaching her...
And that is about it for now... and Morganne starts school on Wednesday...Lissy
