more days....
Alli came to visit yesterday so we had a good time catching up. She is going to make me a new blog banner as it is about time it was changed! It is beyond my computer skills...speaking of which I am expecting my new computer to arrive tomorrow...YAY!
We had swimming and dance today...the rain has returned which is good for the garden.
Morganne is five and a half months old...she can almost sit up and enjoys seeing what is going on.
Evangeline had a great time out in the rain on the weekend...And looking at the rainbow on Sunday Evening...the light was very strange... Her button sewing from school...
We had a tea party on Saturday...I sent her off to get herself and her baby dressed and set it up for her...
She has had this scooter for a couple of months and it is her main transport around the house...she scoots everywhere...
Though sometimes she changes to her roller skates!
Anyway that is all from here...hope you are all well...Lissy

another week...
I love Bluebird's laundry...our laundry is small, narrow and not practical...after the kitchen we may tackle this next...just some storage and such would be good! I think I might put the washer and dryer at wall oven height (better for the back) with a "pot" drawer underneath for the storage and cupboards over top...and some bench space on the side with ironing and laundry baskets underneath...or other wise just bench space over the washer and dryer and cupboards...anything to make it more practical...
I have been tackling the garden again...weeding and such...trying to get it in order! My mum has been over a couple of days to help too...the last few days have been wet again but it is fining up next week (up to 25 -26C...in autumn!) and so shall get some more done then! I am determined to get it under control and looking nice!
I am not managing much creatively at the moment...finishing of a few things but that is about it! I am making E a tutu as well but haven't progressed far! Tulle is actually a bit of a pain to handle!Maybe today I will complete it...
Morganne has a cold again...her fourth one in her short little life...poor thing...this one is not too bad though! But she is a bit grizzly...She can almost sit up by herself...she still does that unpredictable topple over...but she is getting there! We have good days and bad days with her food consumption! Some days she eats and others she does not much! She is having lunch and dinner most days. She now is eating banana too....Here is a bad photo of her sitting up...Evangeline has been busy with school, swimming, dance and having a friend over to play...And today we are busy playing...And I had E cleaning her playroom...I put the timer on...had a garbage bag ready as I said the rest would go in the bin...and that sure galvanised her into action! I helped a bit but figure at four and a half she can do most of it herself! And she did! Her room isn't as bad but maybe we will tackle that tomorrow!
So that is our week and weekend so far! Lissy

And that is it for our quiet weekend - And I hope you had a good one too - Lissy

well....
My friend's little girl was sick so we didn't catch up as planned...so I called my friend Ann Maree who has just got back from her travels over east and invited her for morning tea....all good so far...but she was late so I decide to give the dog the $200 bed which I had sprayed with some special stinky stuff to stop chewing...I could hardly bear the fumes it is so strong!
While carrying it over to her kennel, with the dog was running around,I trod in a sprinkler hole on the lawn and sprained my ankle...and the dog got in the bed on the lawn...and would not get out! Once I got up I had to drag her out of the bed...and then I struggled in and put the bed in the kennel for her....
Then Ann Maree came and we had coffee...luckily I had an appointment already for the physio which was just as well as my ankle was very swollen and very sore by then...so went there with Morganne...It rained and I got wet getting in...and the physio said I should go for an X ray as it may be broken...(I broke my other foot two years ago doing a lot less...)
I hobbled out again - all very sore now...got some nurofen plus from the chemist and went to pick up E from school...Then we all went to have the X-ray and wait for results....I couldn't understand the mumbo jumbo on the results but called the physio and it turns out it is just very badly sprained...
Diana a family friend came over last night to stay and help out...Mum came back from farm today and of course Ben is at sea!....my ankle is very sore and swollen but nurofen is helping heaps...
Oh and the dog has ripped the mattress to bits and started on the outside (which I also sprayed) ! So she can just freeze now if you ask me! The spray is obviously not a deterrent!
Anyway good that my ankle is not broken so should heal with in the week if I take it easy...
And I have given the dog a coat now...we shall see if she chews that up!
But on a good note, Morganne is enjoying sweet potato now and had a couple of spoonfuls last night and tonight and slept very well the last two night...just getting up at around 2.30 and then awake at 6.30 - so I hope that continues...
Hope you have a nice weekend planned - Lissy

happy play day...
And then her little friend Jake came over to play...he was her best buddy at school last year but now goes to a different school...she misses him terribly...
They haven't seen each other since the end of school last year but got on fabulously.....
His little sister is just gorgeous too...It was such a fabulous Autumn day outside...
We took Morganne to be weighed and measured today...she is 8.66kg (so large...lol) and 64.5 cm long...so fairly long.... so she has put on 0.61kg but only grown 1/2 cm in the last month...
Hope your week is going well - Lissy

five months...
She is still as gorgeous as ever...she is starting to grab for things she wants...especially when you are holding her...and she is learning to hold on when she is being carried...
She can be pretty vocal if she is not happy about something...but mostly she is happy if she is fed and gets her sleep...though she tends to only nap during the day for 30 - 45 minutes...night have improved a bit again with a 6 hour stretch usually to begin with and then 3 - 4 hours...not great but better than every 3 hours as has been the case for the last month..not sure why...day time feeds have improved from the two hours stints that were happening too...must have been a combination of a growth spurt and being sick...
She wriggles and kicks when she is on her tummy or in your lap so I think she wants to get moving...but she is not rolling much yet so we will have to practice that! She is working towards sitting up but does flop over regularly still...
When she is happy she is very chatty and vocal too...babbling away and blowing bubbles...very cute...she loves to play with you and laugh and she really loves to be with Evangeline who is always wanting to play with her too...
We went to the park with some friends today...I took a few bad photos and then the camera battery died...oh well...anyway hope you are having a happy Monday - Lissy

this weekend...
a family friend brought flowers around for me ...and a friend dropped off some take away food for tea...so that was all rather nice... And I ordered myself a new computer...this one is in it's death throes...hopefully it will survive until the new one arrives... I had big plans to do some scrapping this weekend....I did cleaning instead....lol...but I did do another layout from Kim Archer's classI packed up more of M's too small clothes today to give away...it is very hard to do! She is growing so fast! I hope you have had a lovely day where ever you are - Lissy

this week...
We did a bit of gardening and things around the house on Monday and Tuesday...still so much to do....
Ben went back to work on Wednesday...so it is just me and the girls for about 5 weeks...a bit quiet now...
Here is a photo I took at dawn this week...forgot to turn off the flash...but like the effect...
Morganne had her immunisation so was a bit unsettled and clingy for a few days...Evangeline has a new soccer outfit...lol...normally it is shorts, singlet and trainers...now she needs boots...maybe I should find her somewhere to play soccer...One of Morganne's last outings in the capsule....it has gotten too small...She is now in the car seat...still rear facing...she looks quite small in it...she knew something was different when I put her in to go to school...Cannot remember if I posted this layout before...And that is about it for this week...hope you have had a good one - Lissy

this sunday...
I did some more cleaning...I am having a bit of a frenzy around here spring cleaning and such...maybe because I was too tired and pregnant in the spring so have left it to the autumn! And heaven help any one who messes it up! Poor E is getting hounded to clean up after herself...I figure she is old enough to help and she has way too much stuff so I need her to help!
Morganne has progressed from baby rice to apple and seems to like it as you can see!
I only managed one layout this weekend...and a pretty simple one at that...using up some paper scraps...

this week...
Ben got home from Copenhagen on Sunday...I can't remember what we did Monday...then school started Tuesday...and Mum arrived home from her holiday in Portugal on Tuesday night...here is E with her presents...her slippers are so cute!Wednesday mum was still staying with us and we had swimming and dance...Morganne is finally better!
Thursday, Sharon came and took some great family pics for us...I will share some soon...but check out her gallery too...
Ben has done the tiling around the stove...and put the handles on...the tiling is pretty dramatic but as it is only a small area I decided to go for it! I am yet to decide on the door/ drawer colour...I am thinking of red...and then I might paint the walls a light latte kind of colour...with a red feature wall in the meals area..E had a friend over to play today... I have been busy "spring cleaning" even though it is autumn...I did E's bedroom and playroom yesterday, and the laundry today in between loads of washing and ironing...
E saying " Hi, I'm Daddy"...lol
E drawing her muesli yesterday...no idea why....lol...
Morganne in my baby jumper and her cute new Mary Jane socks!
And tomorrow I plan to scrap...maybe...
I have actually managed a few layouts over the last ten days or so...here they are...
This first one is from Kim Archer's online class...it is always good to do the odd class to get you doing something different or out of a rut!...Then I did a "kim archer" style layout next...using similar strips of paper and stitching and buttons from the class layout...the photo is not a good one of the girls but captured a special moment.. and two more pages...using up some very old flowers...
And that is it for now - hope you are having a good weekend - Lissy
