Friday night Evangeline went roller skating as the school had organised a fundraiser...then Evangeline had a sleepover at Lara's last night...
So today we met them at Garvey Park (near the airport...a fabulous park on the river with shady trees, a kiosk, toilets and so on) for a picnic lunch...both Ben and Frank are away so it was just us girls...
We took the bikes as Lara is learning to ride with out her training wheels...Morganne sits on her bike but doesn't really want to ride it and she likes to pretend she can skip! And Evangeline is keen to go on a big bike ride...
It was a nice warm sunny day...perfect for a play, a picnic and some riding... I have done a little scrapping this week... But really need to sort and print photos again now...And I have started making scarves...they are made of knit...comfortable for kids and a good weight for our winters...I hope you have had a good weekend...Lissy

Children of the Forest...
Got a few minutes??? Here is the latest news from the children of the forest...
Their resources are being stretched due to recent events in Burma with many more refugee women and children arriving in the Sangkhlaburi area...read the newsletter below...
(If you click on these pages you will navigate to another page where they are larger so you can read them...if they are still small click on them and it should get larger...hopefully)Baby, adult and children's clothing, sandals, thongs (flip flops), trainers, underwear, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, pencils, hats, bags and so on are always greatly appreciated as they are difficult and expensive to source locally...contact me if you want any further details...
Or you can make a donation or or maybe you would like to sponsor a child...the details are on the COF website...
You do not have to provide enough to a build a new building! Though it would be nice if you could!...Just help out if you can...maybe you have $20 spare you can donate...even getting enough rice to feed everyone is stretching resources at the moment so every little bit really does make a difference...Lissy

curly hair and glasses...
Evangeline has been saying for a while that she wants to grow up and have curly hair and glasses! She has a few curls...and now she has glasses...she tried on all styles and colours and finally picked these snazzy red ones...I loved them but wanted her to pick her own as she has to wear them for all reading and writing and computer work...She looks great and is very excited to show everyone at school today! a weekend snapshot...
It was cold and pretty wet here this weekend...a bit of a novelty really! And we didn't go anywhere all weekend! It was rather nice!
Here's a snap shot of our weekend...a rare afternoon nap...And a bit of painting...The kids were busy as usual...and we had Lara come for a sleepover as her parents were off to the Butterfly Ball...then Shuana and Frank bought lunch over for us all Sunday...Frank had cooked some yummy pasta! How good is that!
I hope you had a good weekend too...Lissy

a bit of weekend scrapping...
So I did some scrapping this weekend...plus a few I did earlier in the week...not much else to do when the kids are in bed and Ben is away...
I have some very nice japanese masking tape (light weight slightly transparent decorative tape)that I am enjoying using! Probably because I love tape (see these layouts below) and I still use a lot of my rather large stash of Heidi Swapp tape too (on the mack truck layout here)...it might be old but it is fabulous stuff...as are her letters....I have all colours of chipboard and the plastic ones I love too although I am running out of them...I think a lot of people didn't really get along with her decorative tape and plastic letters too well but I think they were super! Send them my way if you don't want them!

And I love the new Basic Grey Bloomers...fabric flowers...layouts below...they are very versatile colours...I have the Green at Heart and Kioshi ones...I am still using up some old paper and products but enjoying my new stuff too! The new Basic Grey Basic paper packs in Kraft, White and Manila are very handy too...lots of intersting neutrals to use in your layouts...
I have a few more photos printed to do then it will be time to print some more...Lissy

I have just had a bit of a re stock so I am keen to get on and do some more!We have had a few chilly nights and days here! A bit of a shock to the system after 28-30C!
Ben has been home for a week but heads off again tomorrow morning...Lissy
