Well here we are in 2008...the millennium seems just like yesterday but we are nearing the end of the first decade of this new century! Amazing!
Things are pretty quiet around here...Morganne has been very unsettled and has colic...not ideal at all...Sunday was terrible...Monday was passable...today was OK...
Here are the girls this morning...getting to know each other a bit!
Poor Morganne's face is a sea of horrible rashy milk pimples...apparently something to do with hormone changes in me...E never has it so bad but Morganne's face looks shocking!
New Years Eve...Mum had tea with us last night...so jsut a quiet evening...and after finally getting Morganne settled and asleep I was in bed at 10 pm....then she was up for a midnight feed so we saw the new year in together...lol...then up at 3 am...all ok...but then she woke at 4 am until 6 am...with wind....not good at all...so any advice regarding colic would be greatly appreciated...I am hoping tonight will be better...
Mum came over this afternoon so I could sleep for a bit in between feeds...I really needed that...We were invited to Alli's for their New Years Day get together...but after last night I just couldn't manage it!
Anyway hopefully your New Year has started well and there will be good things to come - Lissy

Happy Ney Year Lissy.
Oh you must be exhausted to say the least and with the heat as well I am surprised you can sleep at all.
I hope Morganne settles down for you soon and the only thing I can suggest is that liquid colic stuff from Brauer [Sp?] I got some from the health food shop, lots of downward tummy rubs, knee to chest excercises and I would say hot packs but not at this time of year in WA.
Good luck Lissy.
Oh dear Lissy..just popped over to catch up and that's not good about the colic. James suffered terrible colic until he was about 9 months old, it was awful and nothing really worked for him. I did however watch a really interesting documentary about colic and babies several months ago and something interesting was the doctor had told breast feeding mothers to lower their dairy intake as much as possible and they had all then noticed a big difference with the colic. I know that I was dairy mad when James was a baby - I've always been a big milk drinker..so it got me wondering...

Happy New Year Lissy!!
When Noah was a baby we used to sleep him slightly raised..eg. my dad made a wooden wedge (like a skate ramp) to put under the mattress of his cradle. The paeds dr also suggested a brick under each leg of the cot...if he was in one already. Due to their digestive system not being 100% it helps with their digestion. Noah never had colic...we had other problems and this was suggested as a possible solution...and we all get to that point where we will try anything.
Hope things pick up and you get a good nights rest soon.
