albany...

We had a lovely few days in Albany escaping the heat in Perth last week...so lots of photos to follow...and memories to record...

We enjoyed the wild seas after tea...Even when the waves knocked Evangeline over...We spent time building sand castles... And collecting shellsChasing seagulls...a favourite two year old pass time...Playing in playgrounds...Morganne headed for this slide and was playing at the bottom..so we took no notice thinking there was no way she could go up...and we turn around a few seconds later and she had walked up the slide and was at the top...so I had to go and get her!Celebrating Australia Day...Going on a paddle boat...which E has been asking to do for months....
Morganne finally decided she like paddling in water...Evangeline was very encouraging and so pleased when she did! And Morganne decided that she liked swinging!Looking at the Amity one evening as it is not roped off and open to the public....Evangeline was sure there was pirate treasure in the hold...I remember visiting this as a childGoing to the animal farm...Fish and chips on the beachA bit of metal detecting...a retired couple were on the beach one night and let the kids join in...E was so excited when they found 50cVisiting historic Strawberry Hill farm...I remember visiting this as a kids too...beautiful gardens...Walking out to the jetty...Making food to catch a fish...And just enjoying ourselves...All good family time...me, mum and the girls...Ben is home in two days...yay....Lissy

summer days...

We are enjoying our summer holidays at home...mostly out side...barefoot running around the garden....and wild messy hair...or playing fairy games in the fairy tree..or climbing trees...or playing in the pirate ship...or playing with the dogs...And usually always ending up dirty!

And we have had quite a few play days with friends...And when it is too hot outside...a bit of roller skating around the house...Or reading to dolls...Or building and playing together...and crafting...Sharon gave Evangeline some punches and stamps and she has been busy!...And of course watching Play School...Morganne is going great guns...she is developing more language every day...I sleeping, I bouncing...and she can count to 5 and knows quite a few colours...she hoppity skips everywhere which is very cute! She is starting to become a little girl...And she is so busy she has crashed out a couple of times in the bean bag before her usual afternoon nap time! And we have had a few crashes too...the girls were sitting on the arms of the sofa one night singing Humpty Dumpty...and falling into the middle...and one time M toppled the wrong way! Poor thing!

I have been busy with my January goal of clearing out the house...there is a lot to get rid off but also a lot of cleaning as after having the ducted air conditioning replaced in November there is dust on and in everything! My sinus' were too bad to do anything much about it at the time but now I am slowly getting to each room and thoroughly cleaning it...I am making good progress but there is so much more to do...I am trying really hard to stay focused and keep going...it is easy to be come over whelmed and do nothing...Mum had been staying lots and keeping the general day to day stuff under control...kids, washing and so on so that I have the time to actually do this...my sister will confirm I am making progress!

I visited Sharon a week ago for morning tea with mum and the girls...and saw her amazing scrap room renovation...I am jealous....lol...SO neat and pretty and organised...and saw her ribbons stored in jars...so blatantly copied her...lol..I have had mine in four of these boxes...neat enough but way too much ribbon and not used as I cannot see it.So now I have sent loads to a new home and have just 6 jars...on top...much prettier! And it lead me to a new goal...to reduce everything by half...so I want to gradually go through everything in the house...every box, every cupboard, every shelf...and reduce what ever is there by half....

We went to little Imogen's 3rd birthday party...and she is a big Charlie & Lola fan...so after seeing these clips on a blog Mother Rising I decided to make some for her...and for my two girls of course while I was on the go...I made E's to match her Princess and the Pea Dress I made in November...they were actually pretty quick and easy...what a pose!and of course then Morganne needed some and a dress to match too...Look at this amazing cake Jen made...
I have been struggling with just clearing out and not doing anything fun or creative...so I finally broke down...my resolve crumbled...lol...and I did some sewing...but no photos to share yet...

And a very happy little girl getting a phone call from her best friend who has been away over seas for 6 months...Eden is due home tomorrow...E has missed her greatly...And what else....Playing in the sandpit...A first haircut...E had fun taking these photos...And a first time having straight hair!Swinging...Playing in sprinklers...Morganne always says raining!

Learning to sewHot days in nappies...And hanging out with cousins...Knocking on the fairy door...because they knock back...So all good around here other than the fact that Ben has only been in phone range one day a week...so we haven't been able to speak to him much...he is home in a few days...

And school starts again for us on Wednesday! Summer holidays are all but over!

We have had a week in Albany too but have yet to upload the photos...there are a few glitches on the computer and that is one of them...so stay tuned!

I hope you are enjoying your summer days too...or maybe winter days...Lissy
