sick...and better again

Ben is at sea and out of phone range so we have only had email for about a week...so will post lots of photos for him!

Poor Evangeline was sick for four days...not eating and she even had a couple of sleeps and still went to bed on time...unheard of as she stopped daytime naps by the time she was two! She was just laying around but she was drinking water at least...so far Morganne and I seem fine...

Morganne is going great at sitting up and thinks herself very clever. She is enjoying a change of scene in the playroom now too...we need a mat in there too really...And she has progressed into the stroller! Much easier than a pram! And I am still working on getting her to drink from a cup...I gave up on the bottle...And she loves to blow raspberries! Unfortunately she has started waking a bit at night and not settling again...usually at 3am or so...way too early to start the day!

Here E is feeling better yesterday...
And here is a pics of the two girls...Other than that not much happening...mum came out to help out on Saturday and we did some gardening too... And I must remember to make sure all our jeans are washed and ready for Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 1st August...And you never know I may get something creative done again sometime soon! Lots of ideas but don't seem to have the time at the moment...I hope you are having a good week...Lissy

not much happening...

Not much happening around here...the girls are sick...E with another ear infection and now vomiting...nice...especially at 1 a.m....and M has a cold and hoping she does not get the gastro thing that E has...or me either for that matter! So a quiet week here...Red cheeks make me think M might be getting more teeth too as she is a bit grizzly at the moment!I am working on sorting in my room again....need some proper storage really but have brought this little kitchenette in from the shed to use to store my fabric and sewing stuff for now...it is petite...85cm wide and 140cm high...looks kind of cute though until I get a storage room built...I like a mix of old and new...my room is the old formal lounge...so I want to fill in the front entrance hall to use for storage...as no one has used the front door...ever...everyone comes to the back door here...the play room is the old formal dining room...just off my room...much better uses of these spaces I think!I have made a huge mess doing this but it is much nicer than plastic tubs stacked up! Now i have to finish sorting so I can actually do something!Fortunately today is fine and windy if a little cold so I have managed to get all the bedding washed and dried and smelling nice again!

I love this pic of Morganne I took...blurry and such but she was having a good laugh!
I hope your week is going well - Lissy

photos...

Sharon took some lovely photos for me last week...these are unedited...E didn't want her photo taken - she was too busy playing with Sharon's girls...
Thanks Sharon - Lissy

more days of holidays...

Another busy week here...with two cheeky girls
Sharon came over to take photos with her girls and E had a great time "teaching" them to make hats and things...shall share those photos soon...

Alli and the boys came to play...and we had other little friends and big friends over to play and drink coffee...Never enough days to catch up with everyone though...
And I hardly took any photos this week...These are from before Ben left to go back to work...Yesterday we went to the Fairies...E enjoyed it all and loved her pompoms to dance with afterwards! M rather enjoyed it all too...lots to look at!

Today Mum and I have been pruning roses...a big job...E loves to help in the garden...don't you love her choice of outfit...and M spent time in the pram and then had her tea alfresco!

Hope you have had a good week - Lissy

around here...

All is well ...Ben left early this morning to go back to work....this was a few days early so my kitchen which was due to go in on Monday will have to wait another couple of months....grrrr....

He has been busy this last week pulling out the tree stumps of trees that have died in last couple of years...the last one has proved a tough job...it is HUGE!>
E, M and I went out for breakfast with my sister, mum and the boys...at Taylors Studio in Upper Swan...yummy as always...

seven months old...

Today Morganne is seven months old...She is sitting up and is very pleased with herself and happy to play...she does not like vegetables and so on...you would think you were feeding her something quite revolting the way she carries on! Her mouth clamps shut, she gags and tries to spit it out! But she opens wide for fruit and will eat yoghurt and cereal...She loves seeing what is going on and playing with other kids...Ace (her cousin) loves to spend time with her... He has been staying with us a few days this week. Her clothes are size O and some Size 1...I will get her weighed and measured next week. She loves babbling away and blowing raspberries...and she makes a lip smacking sound when you say kiss! She loves the bath. She has a bit of ezcema which bothers her but it is not too bad. Her eyes are looking more brown now...and she has two teeth...and needless to say we think she is adorable! And here is our scruffy dirt magnet E...she has had a few play days with friends this week as it is the school holidays!
I am having trouble with blogger so shall finish for now and post again soon - Lissy

Children of the Forest

Have you heard of it...Children of the Forest

It is a small charity based in Thailand...providing a school and a home for Karen, Mon and Burmese refugee children in Sangkhlaburi, near the Thai-Burmese border...

We sponsor a young girl called Porpoyyii (pronounced Por...po...yee)

I have been gathering school supplies and clothing to send to the home and school. They have children from 3 - 16 years. There is also another home in Sangkhlaburi for 0 - 7 year olds. I have sent a few parcels so far and figure we have such an abundant life that it is easy to spare a few dollars each week for these children.

I would love to visit one day...
