two years have passed...

Two years have passed since my dad died...I think about him everyday for some reason or other...some time with happiness, sometimes with sadness...sometimes just remembering...he was such a big and special part of our lives...there is a lot to remember and and a lot to miss...This is how I remember him most days...driving things around the paddock...Or working on his projects in the shed...his presence is still so strong around here...
I am so glad I got to spend so much time with him when we moved back here...cups of tea and lunch...

And I have some great childhood memories too (but not many photos)...getting a motorbike ride down to the school bus...Or time riding our ponies and later horses...I am so thankful he was my dad...we all miss him...Lissy

a bit more scrapbooking done...

Gee I cannot believe I have managed to get some pages done this week! Well they are all pretty simple and I am certainly not agonising over them....the New Year one took me about ten minutes this afternoon!
I am just about ready to print out some new photos to scrap! I am also planning my layouts for the classes for the retreat so when the goodies arrive I shall be ready to do the samples!! I hope your week is going well - Lissy

the last days of august...

A lot of cold and wet days for us...I am ready for Spring! I bought Evangeline a chair from Ikea so she can sit properly at the table...but someone else is very taken with it...so now I shall have to go and get a second one!A bit of Sunday afternoon painting while a baby sister was asleep... The new excitement in the house....the piano we bought from Alli...they both love it and E has been busy writing music too...I am hoping she can start music lessons next term...Morganne is doing a lot of waking up grumpy...Morganne has started 'chatting" on the phone and saying her version of hello and goodbye! And we are enjoying strawberries again! I have taken Morganne to Toddler Town a couple of times recently....I used to go a lot with Evangeline and my mums group...it is perfect for the little ones...And the tantrums have started too....OOur friends the Gringarts leave today to spend five months over seas...we will miss them greatly...Lissy

a few more layouts...

I have some how managed a few layouts this weekend...using photos that have been printed and in my Memory Dock for too long! So the plan is to clear out these photos...only a few to go now...and then get printing off some more recent ones! And I am still trying to use up scraps of patterned paper and whatever is on my desk as much as possible...And I have finished Evangeline's pirate birthday party album ...And Morganne's birth to one year album...there is a page for each month and a birthday page...
And now I'm off to try and do a few more pages...Lissy

more scrap booking...

I am on a bit of a roll and have finished some more layouts...following my usual formula of some patterned paper and the odd journalling block or embellishment..and quite often journalling strips...and trying to use up all my patterned paper scraps...Now I will have to print out some more photos...plenty to choose from since I last printed some in April...I am starting to get some ideas together for my classes for the next Wave Rock Retreat in Hyden in October...I am doing Birthday layouts and Christmas layouts as I figured we all have plenty of those photos to scrap and they can be pretty tricky with usually lots of colours happening in the photos...so stay tuned...Lissy
