and I scrapped...

Yes I had a bit of a scrapping frenzy over the weekend at the Wave Rock Retreat....between teaching three classes I manage to scrap a LOT of layouts! Nineteen actually...My main aim was to scrap as many photos as possible...so all pretty simple layouts...Lots of patterned paper, a bit of stitching and some journalling as usual! It is amazing what you can get done when you do not have to worry about hungry or tired or bored children and house work! And with the good company of the fabulous women there the weekend fairly flew by...I can honestly say that everyone there is really very nice...I know I keep getting asked back to teach (yes surprisingly they are not sick of me yet....lol...) but I would go anyway just to spend a weekend with a lovely bunch of scrappers! Oh and I can go on a paper buying frenzy in the shop since Karen always has such a great range!! I was very delighted to get my hands on the new Crate Paper ranges....Pink Plum and Paper Doll...both gorgeous and I used them a lot!And I have to say a huge thank you too to everyone there...I took lots and lots of baby memorabilia tins I made to sell to raise money for Ava and the Australian Tuberous Sclerosis Society...hoping I could at least sell a few and I sold all of them! So that was amazing! I had about 10 different patterns...pastels and brights....boys and girls....here are a couple...You can see Sharon's classes on her blog....I have yet to complete my layout for her 10 Things class...and you can see the great photos she took on the weekend of all the girls! And one of me...which is on my layout...I just need to think of some journalling to go with it! And Lynne will be uploading her stuff to her blog soon!

OK - that is enough for now....onto the all important "Carp with a Harp" costume making for Evangeline for a school assembly on Wednesday.....Lissy

Tuberous Sclerosis...

Evangeline's little school friend Ava has Tuberous Sclerosis...a multi system genetic condition causing tuber like growths in the brain and frequently other vital organs...

We are fundraising to raise money for a medical trial for a topical cream that could help treat the disfiguring facial growths that grow as part of the condition...currently Ava has regular painful laser surgery to remove them...if you would like to donate or read more about it just go to the ATSS website...

Sharon has just taken some fabulous family photos for them...so I stole this photo as my computer is still dead...And great news is that the brain surgery she has had this week in Melbourne to try and eliminate her epilepsy has gone well...now we are just waiting to see if it was successful!

And hopefully a computer whizz friend can fix my computer tomorrow and save my photos...Lissy
