memories...

It has been a while since I have scrap booked...I started some of these pages a couple of months ago...finally finished some this weekend...mostly pretty plain but the memories are preserved...







The photos are all from April so I am no way up to date with my scrap booking...don't suppose I ever will be! Hopefully some more to share soon! Lissy

august so far....

August so far has been pretty busy! This week we had a school picnic for Montessori Children's Day...And today we went to an Echo cushion concert for 0 - 6 year olds put on by waso...It was fabulous...totally child orientated with a very charismatic conductor and musicians...Evangeline certainly enjoyed it all but it was Morganne who absolutely loved it and watched all the instruments and everything that was going on...no flash photography during concert...After the concert the musicians came out with their instruments for the kids to have a play...I shall definitely take her again...Evangeline did Jump Rope for Heart this week and started after school sport...And we have spent lots of time outside with the dogs as the weather has been great...Jazz is fabulous with the kids...Ben heads off on Monday to start his new job...And amazingly I have been doing some scrap booking and will share some layouts soon! a wonderful weekend...

Ben arrived home on Tuesday night...We made these for tea the other night....E enjoyed making them but wasn't so sure about eating them!
And we have just had a lovely weekend...the weather was gorgeous - about 20C and sunny and fine...Saturday we went to visit Ben's parents and see their new house...and went for a walk down to the marina...
Then mum came over to have dinner and stay the night...Sunday we got up, read the paper, saw an ad and so off we went to get another dog...meet Jazz...She is a two year old Weimeraner...and is just lovely...her owners are travelling too much for work and decided she needed a new home...lucky for us...Missy (our German Short haired Pointer) is the same age and they seem to love each other...Evangeline thinks she is great too!

We also had a lazy lunch and afternoon with our good friends the Gringarts...who are going overseas for 5 months in a few weeks...Evangeline will miss her best friend Eden so much...And that is about it around here - Lissy

a few of our days...

I am not sure what exactly has filled our time since my last update but we seems to be always busy! Morganne has been pretty grizzly and clingy and I have spent a lot of time carrying her around...but she had moments of perking up...and has been a lot better in the last couple of days...she has had a bit of a virus or something...She now likes to bring her chairs into my room and climb up and rearrange things on the shelf...Evangeline spent a lot of the weekend at her friend Eden's house including a sleep over and toasting marshmallows...mum came to stay and we did a lot of weeding and pruning...still more to do but that is at least start...And it has been cold here...I have been helping out in Evangeline's class doing art...it is nice to spend that time with her...The girls love to be outside...Evangeline learnt how to pick and arrange roses with Grandma...Morganne loves to follow the cat around...Lucas is a fabulous cat with the kids...The girls like to hide between the fridge and the oven...the joys of a partly renovated kitchen! And a bit of bedtime reading...And that is about it around here...Ben gets home tonight for a couple of weeks before he heads off again to start his new job...new company and new boat...and other than that just the usual play group and gymnastics and so on...Lissy

making a difference...

It is so wonderful to see people out there making a difference...go and look at this Craft Hope post about the dolls given to children in orphanages in Nicaragua...it breaks my heart to see the young children Morganne's age...this could be Morganne sleeping...Which is why I am not sure I could go and visit The Children of the Forest...you would want to bring them all home...Lissy

I can just picture Morganne in these clothes...sigh...fingers crossed... Maybe I will finally start some sewing today...it is the last day of the holidays today... and it is wet and COLD here...so a good day to be inside...minus the very whingy clingy toddler though...Lissy
