Made on the Left

In a month I will be here...
And this is why...

I have started making lovely soft ruffled children's scarves...and this is my first outing to sell them!I could share a hundred amazing photos taken by Sharon...but I had to choose just four....and blimey that was hard! Thanks so much Sharon...

And here are some of the colours...there are fourteen different colours...Evangeline wants them all!The scarves are approximately 9" x 36" or 22cm x 93cm...they vary slightly as they are hand ruffled! Long enough to wrap but not so long as to get in the way!

It is the last Saturday of the school holidays...I am not there on the Sunday as there is different stalls each day...

Saturday JULY 17th...from 10 - 4pm
upstairs @ The Saint
2 Morris Road
Innaloo

And Sharon did these for me too... isn't she a gem of a friend!
So please pop in and see me...make sure you say HI...Lissy

some happenings around here...

Things have been fairly quiet around here...it was lovely and warm last Sunday hence not many clothes were worn!

Morganne was pretty pleased with herself when she managed to climb the fairy tree! So she did a little bum dance!Evangeline had been singing...My friend Jen came on Monday for lunch after playgroup...as you can see a little one is due to make it's appearance very soon...a little boyMorganne and Imogen had a bit of fun in the puddles!I caught up with Alli on Wednesday for coffee at a fabulous place in Leederville called Greens...Morganne enjoyed the outing too! It is quite a good cafe for kids and it has the most amazing lot of cakes!
And other than that things are quiet...I haven't been well so mum has been staying for a few days...Ben is still at sea and should be home later this week! Evangeline and I had a little "date" this morning and went to the shops together for a couple of hours ending with a mango smoothie! Lissy

this is morganne...

She is two and a half...(I know I said that last month...lol...but I cannot count!)I have been trying to capture her faces...she is so animated and pulls so many funny faces...and I finally got some!

Anyone who knows her will recognise these expressions! I have no idea where she got them from! She is a character!

And...I finally worked out how to do a collage in PSE7...yay!

off to camp...

Today Evangeline headed off on her very first school camp! The lower primary classes are off to Point Peron...She was a bit worried but luckily a fairy came to visit and go on camp with her! Evangeline was very excited when she found her in the fairy tree this morning...
Ready with her bag...it has a sleeping bag and everything in it hence it is rather large!
A very excited Evangeline and Eden waiting for the bus!
Some cuddles with mum and Morganne...
Queueing to get on the bus!
In her seat excited to be off!
A last kiss...
And these two will sure miss each other...Morganne really wanted to go on the bus too! It is only one night! Lissy

so much I do not know...

We have been sorting out old family photos...of my dad and mum and their parents and grandparents and so on...we don't have many...and I realise there is so much that I do not know about my family history...I do not even know names...mum knows a lot as does my aunt...so I really must start finding out...

I found two really old photos amongst Nana's stuff (my mum's grandmother) She was a war bride from England...she met my maternal great grandfather during WWI...he was wounded but survived...

These photos are of the Lady Bagot Hospital of Friendship in Adinkerke , Belgium...I have no idea who they are ...there is references to the "everyman" bed on the back of both photos...and you can see it written above the bed on the piece of paper in the first photo...I am wondering if that is the name for an unknown soldier???

I am wondering if my Grandfather was in this hospital...I am trying to research but not finding much...

But I did stumble upon a reference to my paternal great grandfather (my grandmother's father) who was killed in the battle of the Somme...there was his name on the Amble War Memorial...his wife and children then immigrated to Australia...

My knowledge is vague...I really need to talk to my mum and aunt and write this stuff down...I haven't really been all that interested before...there is so much I should have asked my dad, my grandparents...

If anyone has any ideas or information about any of this please share! Lissy
