a couple more...

Here are a couple of more layouts...as you can see I am hardly even bothering about embellishments or titles on most of my layouts...Now that I have my hard drive sorted out I shall get onto printing photos for the 7th Wave Rock Scrapbooking Retreat Classes...and hopefully get those layouts done this week!

We are off to friends for a Sunday Roast tonight...Ben flew to Broome and then was choppered out to a rig this morning...Well I hope you have had a great weekend - Lissy

365 days...

It's been 365 days since my dad died...it still seems like yesterday...I think about him and miss him every day...E talks about him all the time...I miss popping over to the workshop in the shed to see him...or having him come in for a coffee or lunch...and having chats...
We all miss you dad...Lissy

and scrapped some more...

so here is the other layout I did yesterday...I actually had to paint some chipboard letters...lol...which took some time! and another one I did today...I wanted to use the Jenni Bowlin tickets I have had for a while...and I have printed some more photos to maybe even do some more scrapping tonight! I am concentrating on getting some pages done quickly and not agonising over each one...sometimes I get it right...sometimes not so right...but in the long run it doesn't matter if they aren't all great...what matters is that I have recorded the stories I want to remember...and sometimes I do pages just for fun because I love the photos...I have a couple of months of photos to catch up on of Morganne...and of course there are hundreds of untold stories and photos of Evangeline...there is no way I will get them all done so I just do what photos appeal to me at the time...Lissy

and today I scrapped...

Well I said in my post yesterday that I was going to scrap this week...so I got started today! I have done four quick pages...here are 3 of them...they haven't photographed all that well...
I am getting ready to do my pages for the classes I will be teaching at the 7th Wave Rock Scrapbooking Retreat to be held 17th to 19th October 2008. As Karen of Scrappin' Outback, who is organising the retreat said that's only 8 weeks away! One class will be school pages...so you are ready to scrap those school photos this year...and the other class will probably be a layout with lots of photos...but still thinking on that one! I am using some of the new Basic Grey paper ranges that I am impatiently waiting to arrive in the post!

I must update my side bars with links to the Scrappin' Outback blog etc ...I dont have the computer skills but some one I know does...(hint hint Alli )...oh and I need a new banner at the top...

Anyway hope your week has started well...I will upload the other layout tomorrow -Lissy

getting away...

We have been away and now we are back...we had a little mini break to Mandurah...just an hour from home but nice to get away...our mini break of 4-5 days turned into just the weekend but was good all the same! Ben has a course to go to tomorrow...

The weather was great...about 20C...and there were no crowds as it is the off season...we had some meals out...and did some touristy things...the best thing was a boat trip around the river and the estuary on the Mandjar...and we saw lots of dolphins...E loved it...
We visited the Peel Zoo as E really wanted to see koalas...we saw one...and lots of birds...but she was pretty amazed when a cockatoo said hello to her and I love you!We had fun in a couple of play grounds...Morganne liked the swing until it started to move! And E had fun on her scooter!I have edited my photos and am determined to do some scrap booking this week! I hope you have had a great weekend - Lissy

play...

This morning we had swimming...Morganne had her first experience in the pool and she was not too impressed! The only time she didn't cry was getting to hold the ball! So we only participated in half the lesson! We shall try again next week...Afterwards we had a play in the park...it has an amazing flying fox...now Ben wants one at home!Ben got home late last night and I took mum to the airport this morning...she is off on a cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest!

And we are packing to go away for a few days...to Mandurah...not far but it will be great as we have not been anywhere for two and a half years! Since Ben works away he is always quite happy just to be at home! And there is a pool so maybe Morganne will get more used to it!So I am getting plenty of photos...and will have lots more once we return...so I shall have to get scrapping again! Have a great rest of the week - Lissy

8 months old...

Our littlest one, Morganne Isabella is 8 months old today! Here are some photos Sharon took for me last Thursday...and we think she is just beautiful......Vocally Morganne is rather chatty and loud..and she says bub-bub and mum-mum!
She now has four teeth as the top front two have just appeared in the last couple of days! She definitely prefers fruit and yoghurt but will eat some veggies and stuff and we have started on some finger food..toast, pasta, grated cheese and apple...not that much actually gets eaten but she will get the idea...and she is getting the idea about drinking water from a sipper cup...she will push my hands out the way if she doesn't want something! And is getting pretty good at grabbing the spoon! So we have a big mess mostly! She either eats sitting in the bumbo or in the highchair...with a plastic table cloth on the floor to catch all the spills...

She can sit up fine now and is trying to get moving but she cant quite get her leg around but I am sure she will in a week or so!
She is such a happy content little baby...so when she is grizzly I know she really is not feeling very well! M has just started throwing things over the side and watching them fall! We have yet to get the sleeping thing sorted...as M is still waking once or twice a night for a feed...but we will get there...If I can get her eating more in the day we might be right! She is 69cm long and 9.52 kg...(E was about 72 cm and 8.9kg at the same age)...Morganne's Size 0 clothes are getting too small so we are progressing onto size 1...Her eyes are definitely looking like they will be brown or hazel...and her hair is getting lighter...looking at photos the two girls look quite different...Evangeline loves being a big sister and will happily entertain Morganne...she said a couple of weeks ago that she is glad we had another baby so she has someone to play with! E is growing up too...She decided she didn't need any of her blankies for bedtime (muslins) anymore so got them out and put them all in M's room! But she did want one back at night time! Here is Evangeline at 8 mths...we didn't have a very good camera then... E was crawling and pulling herself up on furniture at this age...

Yesterday Evangeline had Eden over to play after school....I was too busy chatting to Simona to take any photos but they had a great time! I hope your week has started well - Lissy

the weekend...

We have had a pretty busy weekend...we had one of Evangeline's little friends over on Saturday morning to play...and then Alli and family came for lunch...Micheal set up our wireless router thingy...and I taught Alli to use her sewing machine! We started on new curtains for the boys' room...I tried out a couple of new recipes for lunch...a pasta bake that was OK...and a very nice Beetroot and Sweet Potato Salad with Feta...And for dessert we had a very delicious Tiramisu that Michael had made...yum! I shall have to get the recipe! And my aunt and uncle came for a quick visit in the afternoon...they are off on a cruise up the Kimberley coast...that would be fantastic...Ben was a pearl diver in Broome for ten years so he has seen a lot of the coast...I would love to see it one day...we drove up the Gibb River Road with my mum and dad from Broome to Kununarra a few years ago which was fantastic...

Morganne tried toast ...and I am trying to fill her up on food during the day hoping that she might not wake so much at night! But her top teeth are cutting and she has a terrible cold so she is not really wanting to eat at all poor thing! And she is very grizzly...and waking every couple of hours at night!
And Sunday was a quiet day..tried out the slow cooker and made a yummy pot roast as mum came over to have tea with us...Ben is back out at sea after a few days in port...But he is home in a week! I hope you have had a good weekend...Lissy
