busy birthday weekend...

I have had a busy birthday weekend...

I had lunch with some good friends on Friday...we went to Penny Garden which is relatively new here in the Swan Valley and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised...and I had a fabulous time with my friends Sharon, Simona and Jo and we had a good laugh and I was spoiled rotten...

Then since my sister Annica and family were staying we went to the Rose & Crown pub in Guildford for dinner Friday night...a balmy evening dining al fresco and we felt like we were in Broome (where I used to live!)...also fabulous food...

Annica found the new quote that is on my blog header for me on Friday! better to have enjoyed and made a mess than to have never enjoyed at all....perfect for me!

Saturday I took Evangeline and Ike to see a Spare Parts puppet theatre productions called the Night Zoo...I thought it was extremely good and the kids certainly enjoyed it.

And today is my birthday...Evangeline was very excited for me to open her present! Some very nice photo frames and a ring box that she chose herself! My sister and family were here but had to head home this morning...And then we spent most of the day at Great Escape in Hillarys with millions of other people for a birthday party for a school friend of Evangeline...I am sure there were about 30 other parties going on there too!

We came home completely knackered...And I did a bit of scrapping...badly photographed but you get the idea...
Diana came over tonight with a cake so the girls could sing Happy Birthday and blow out the candles! And so we had Thai takeaway for tea...and now I can hear Tom Jones in concert at Sandalfords Winery!

Ben was able to call as he is in port and mum called from Bali...and lots of birthday messages and emails from friends...I am out to lunch with more friends tomorrow so I think then I will have done enough celebrating! Lissy
