So we are half way through our mini album....30 days of everyday happenings around here ....

Today E was entertaining me on her piano...she is quite a careful piano player...no bashing and clunking...she picks out notes and likes to write music too! We might try piano lessons this year but not sure where we would fit a piano!

And amazingly a pic of Morganne and I at bath time...I have started telling Ben to take photos today...they will most probably all be pretty unflattering but at least there will be photos...Hope your week is going well - Lissy

everyday 14...

Some very everyday sort of photos today...not great pics but capturing our lives so in the mini book they will go....Evangeline spends a lot of time on the trampoline...and Morganne is wanting to be carried around a lot at the moment!We had friends over for a bite to eat and a play today...Ben has finished his jobs at our other house so it is ready for the tenants to move in tomorrow...we all need a few days to rest and recuperate...and then maybe we will tackle some stuff here...like new kitchen benches! Lissy

retreat news...

The next Scrappin' Outback Retreat is happening at the end of March (28th - 30th) in Hyden ....it is always a fabulous weekend and I love going and teaching classes, catching up with all the girls, meeting new people, stocking up on new products, actually doing some classes (it is good to try something new!) and getting some scrapping done myself!

Unfortunately I will not be teaching or attending this time...I was very loathed to have to say no to Karen but with little Morganne and Evangeline, I decided I could not manage it...Ben will be away, as will mum, so that is my baby sitting out the window...and I am struggling to find anytime at the moment to do anything let alone come up with some fabulous class ideas and prepare them...

Around here it is a case of....KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON....I have had this poster for about a year and need to put it up somewhere I think!

I know Karen will organise a superb retreat again, the other tutors will come up with some excellent classes for you and you will all have a great time! Lissy

everyday 13...

E loves to put on my glasses and usually does so when I am in the shower!We had good friends Jen & Moreno over for lunch today...with their very gorgeous girl Imogen who has just turned one! This was the first time they had met Morganne as they have been back visiting Moreno's family in Italy Evangeline was reading a bed time story to Morganne tonight...she is doing a great job as a big sister....she was telling me the other day that she has to give Morganne lots of kisses and cuddles as she missed her when she was in my tummy... I hope you have had a good long weekend - Lissy

everyday 12...

Not much happening around here...I took Ben's mum to stay with her sister this afternoon...Ben has been off putting up blinds before our tenants move in...E has played with her Nana Jen and had a couple of swims... and she enjoyed her bedtime story with daddy tonight...and Morganne doesn't want to go to sleep! And I finished the layout for Evangeline like the one I did of Morganne...will be doing a lot of 'repeat' layouts now I think with two kids! And I will be keeping them pretty simple too!

Australia Day...we have Ben's mum staying ...and invited his sister and family and Ben's Nan for a bbq...the kids had a swim and we were all hot! oh well! Hope you had a good day - Lissy

everyday 10...

A busy day here today...I took Morganne to the GP for her 6 week check up...she is now 5.6kg (about 12pd or so)...and doing very well...

We did the food shopping while Ben and E were off 'doing jobs'...then lunch, a swim (hot here again) and a quick clean up and Ben picked up his mum from the airport...and that is about it!

everday 9...

oh so hot here again today....38 C....so we stayed inside...

Ben is home :) E was very excited...Ben's mum arrives tomorrow and the house is only vaguely clean...I was too tired and it was too hot to do anything today so I guess I shall tackle it in the morning....Lissy

everyday 8...

I didn't get to post yesterday as I was backing up all our stuff onto an external hard drive in case this dinosaur dies on us! And it took hours!

Anyway yesterday E went on a bird hunt....with some cornflakes, a back pack and a telescope! And she told me I had to be very quiet! And this is Morganne in a little jumper that was mine as a baby! Now that the air con is working again she gets a bit cold inside!Alli and the boys came to play and have lunch...Oh and I did a layout...blimey! Pretty quick and simple...and I will do a version for E with other photos..had to be quick as no air con in my room!The Pest Control man is coming today as we are inundated with bugs and spiders...another huge one in the bathroom this morning and I am worried one will get on the baby's mat or something!

Hot here today again - 38C plus...Ben is due home tonight! YAY! He will get a shock when he sees Morganne although he has been able to look at this blog...So I shall post today's daily photos later - Lissy

everyday 7...

This is E in this morning...

and reading to Morganne...And Morganne is now six weeks old...Today was going to be a quiet stay at home day....but that soon went out the window...a friend called to take E out with her little girl for a couple of hours...so I rushed off with M to do the food shopping and then I had a quick look at computers as this one is coming to a grinding halt and I am thinking it will just stop all together soon...it is a few years old so I guess it is a dinosaur now in computer terms...but shall have to see what Ben thinks when he gets home...E is counting the sleeps...only two to go now!

Then this afternoon saw a rush of unexpected but very welcome visitors...my aunt, then my friend Penne....Then E came home and the kids all had a swim ...they were giving their dolls swimming lessons And the air con man turned up and fixed the air con...very relieved about that!...it still only works in part of the house but that will do for now!...and then another friend turned up to see Morganne!

This is E with her new mop this afternoon....slave labour around here...lol...I had to follow her around and mop up the water!E was worn out and fell asleep on the chair so I carried her to bed! M is still not asleep...thanks for ideas for cradle cap...shall give them ago! and that is it for today...Lissy

everyday 6

....a pretty quiet day again around here...E tried on all her jewels and such...there are lots of bangles hiding under her gloves too...I thought the beanie was a good finishing touch...lol...and Morganne had a good scream at bedtime...mean of me to take a photo I know...I don't let her scream really...I am a softie...but she has a good set of lungs on her! Any suggestions for cradle cap? I am using olive oil...And my day...well in between feeds and so on I got a few jobs done like sorting the spare room for Ben's mum's visit this weekend...ironing...packing up clothes for charity and so on...thrilling stuff...

Plus trying to organise to get the air con fixed before the weather creeps up to 36+C on Thursday and the same is forecast for the long weekend...do not know what we will do if not!

And now heading to bed and hoping for a reasonable night...Lissy

everyday 5...

We have stayed at home today...good idea for a Sunday I think...we have been doing quite a lot in the last couple of weeks since my sister and family have been around...and doing things to keep Evangeline busy and occupied...but I am tired tired tired...Morganne is waking a lot at night and there is no chance of a day time nap...so today we have done not much at all...

My everyday pics for today....E and I played 'football' outside...she has her own ideas about a football outfit...a football top (it has to have a pony on it) and stripy shorts and also pony knickers she tells me..and football shoes...not sure really where she has all these ideas from...we are not a soccer family...must be from a Maisy book or ABC kids...anyway she is actually fairly athletic and could run and kick the ball well! And Morganne and I spend a lot of time here changing nappies...lol...the basket with supplies is from when I was a baby....I finished the first birthday mini album today too...it is very simple...but at least it is done...
Ben is hopefully getting home on Thursday this week...some help around here with the kids and cooking and so on will be wonderful...I hope you have had a good Sunday - Lissy

everday 4...

We have had a busy day today....this morning we went to a birthday party in a park...Evangeline had a great time with friends from school...Morganne slept!The location and lighting were great for some photos...

My everyday pictures today are...E pulling a face...and Morganne in the capsule...her skin is a lot better but now the cradle cap is bad! I have four days of photos printed for the mini albums now so I had better start it!

Last night Evangeline wrote instructions for the care of Morganne....and they had lots of good night cuddles and kisses!

Today E has been very busy making kites...and flying them...and she has been taking pictures of Morganne (this is one)...pretty good they are too...Morganne's skin is improving which is great...so this is day 3 of our everyday...I have been making a mini album for a first birthday present...

Not much else happening today...my sister and family popped in for a visit...and that is about it...Lissy

everyday 2...

This morning bright and early at 7.30 am Sharon came over to take some photos for me...she did an amazing job...there are loads of fabulous ones but I will just share a couple...check out her site for more...I haven't edited any of these either...



And she got M smiling once...so this and E joining in the photo shoot is my daily photo for today...I have a couple of acrylic albums from Sharon to start making the 30 Days of Everyday albums for the girls...
Hot here today (about 39C) but not humid and the wind has died down too...we are inside with the air conditioning on...lol...but I have been outside putting washing on the line and it takes about 5 minutes to dry!

So a good day here despite a not so good night...Lissy

Well I have been thinking of taking photos of everyday happenings around the house...and today I did...
E did her own hair this morning... and for some reason she wanted a jumper on...and Morganne sitting by the window this morning...I shall try and do this each day but we shall see how it goes! I think I will make an everyday mini album for each of the girls...with a photo a day for 30 days...maybe a bit ambitious but we shall see...might manage if I keep it really simple!

Not much else happening here today...E did go collecting dinosaur rocks...shall post about that tomorrow maybe...she had a very involved story to go with it!

My sister and family were here for lunch...

It hot here again...39C tomorrow...and it has been very windy...now hopefully Morganne is asleep and I can sleep too - Lissy

tuesday...

So today we have been to the supermarket....and then had friends over this afternoon for a swim...

E has been practising her diving...lol...she gets ready and then... jumps in
Morganne is 34 days old...her skin is still horrid but colic improving! She can no longer fit into the new born size nappies(up to 5 kg) so I am guessing she has grown! She is giving me a lot of smiles and quite likes to "chat" to me...the first thing E does each morning is give Morganne a kiss (this photo is not too good as I was holding her and trying to take them!)
and E asleep tonight...
Now my turn..I am off to bed as did not have a good night last night as Morganne was up every couple of hours...I am hoping for better things tonight - Lissy
